What Is Online Whiteboard?

Online Whiteboard is a free, browser-based drawing and diagramming tool that combines freehand sketching with draggable images, shapes, and text overlays. It works entirely in your browser with no login, no installation, and no file-size limits on your canvas. Choose between pen and eraser tools, adjust stroke color and thickness, add rectangles, circles, lines, and arrows, upload images that can be dragged and resized, and place text annotations anywhere on the board. Export your finished work as a PNG image or a PDF document.

How It Works

Select a drawing tool from the toolbar and begin sketching on the canvas. Adjust the stroke color and size using the controls provided. To add text, type your label in the text input field, set the desired color and size, then click Add Text. Upload images using the Upload Image button and drag or resize them directly on the canvas. Add geometric shapes with the shape buttons. Use Undo to step back or Clear to start fresh. When finished, click Download PNG or Download PDF to save your creation.

Fields and Input Explanations

Tool Pen Eraser: Switch between the Pen tool (draw strokes) and Eraser tool (remove strokes).

Color: The active stroke color used by the pen tool.

Size: The stroke thickness for the currently selected pen or eraser.

Text Color: The color applied to text elements placed on the whiteboard.

Text Size: The font size for text elements placed on the whiteboard canvas.

Upload Image: Insert an image from your device as a layer on the whiteboard canvas.

Tool Select: Switch the active mode — draw, erase, insert text, or select and move existing elements.

Color Input: A direct hex/color picker input to set the active tool color precisely.

Size Input: A numeric input to set the pen or eraser size in pixels.

Text Input: Type the text you want to place on the whiteboard as an annotation or label.

Text Color Input: A direct color picker input to set the text color precisely.

Text Size Input: A numeric input to set the font size of placed text in pixels.
